2 Steps Forward and 3 Steps Back

After all the training for the last 9 months... the hundreds of spin classes, runs and swims... I finally am paying the price. The back issue has popped up and it's ugly. I'm in pain pretty much all the time. And it seems like it's getting worse.

Went to the doc a few weeks ago and found out three things.
1 - There is nothing skeletally wrong with my back, so it's a muscular or disc problem.
2 - Running a Marathon is really not healthy.
3 - Doing an Ironman is even less healthy.

So I left feeling not wonderful, but Ok about doing the Marathon and the Ironman. He gave me a script for PT. Long story short, I went to PT this morning and have been in pain all day. Went to Yoga at lunch and am in pain again. Yuck. So now I sit with this lumbar roll on my chair all day in agony scared to bike or run.

Marathon 3.5 weeks away. Saying a prayer for the 20 miler this weekend.
